  St. John 23rd is a warm and welcoming parish. Our pastor, Fr. John Stanton, introduces many faith-growing experiences. Our masses are beautiful and fulfilling. Join us at weekend mass and see for yourselves. You are always welcome.

  I was glad to see a full parking lot for Sunday 10:30 am mass this morning. The Congregation was wonderful with many hospitable people. The mass flowed smoothly. However the much too loud indoor AC systems kicked on at the beginning of what sounded like a very good homily and did not shut off until just after it ended. This coupled with the Monsignor having his I believe 87th birthday speaking in a low tone meant that I will have to request a written version of this homily in order to actually understand entirely what was spoken. The all year missal - hymnal book was much too difficult to navigate making the mass hard to follow for a visiting pilgrim. But all in all a lovely sacred time to be with the Lord and his children. Four stars since I was baptized and confirmed here under St. William's star and the Parish exceeded my expectations. The volunteer staff is planning the annual outdoor picnic for July 30 at Fontana's grove on Clinton Street and Bishop Malone will say the iconic outdoor mass August 6, 2017.
